PETER: I think a lot of this black and white stuff is a good foundation to colour. To me black and white really shows up poor composition or forms that don’t work. It strips off the camouflage and gets to the bare bones of it.

Made a start on this from the session with Molly. Just the crude beginnings but the bare bones of the idea.

STEVE: Hope you don’t mind a guest picture. After a couple of years away from creating art, Cath’s bought herself a pack of vibrant liquid watercolours and has been experimenting using them with acrylics.

This project was suggested by a clip of 1915 footage featuring Renoir, Monet and Rodin. The idea was to use it as a basis for a drawing or drawings of these artists.
There were some really nice results. Here they are.
