Fruit and veg session

Apples (coloured pencils) by Angela

Only Angela could draw a pair of apples like this, which is what makes it so special.

Pumpkins and autumn leaves (watercolour and pastels) by Jane

I like the way Jane’s pictures sometimes reflect the painting process as a battle between artist and subject. Frustrations and mind-changes are laid bare, injecting a dynamism into a subject that might otherwise be seen as staid.

Cabbage (pencil) by Jane

This was a wonderfully unruly cabbage, and Jane has captured its character perfectly.

Red onion, pepper and mushroom (coloured pencils) by Peter

I thought this was going well when time ran out. I hope you can go on with it, and I’ve posted a photo reference below ( sorry it’s a bit bleached out, but should give you enough I think).

Fennel, skull and pumkin, (watercolour pencils) by John

One advantage of a small class is that I get the chance to join in.
