David drawing on site and on-line
DAVID: Sketch of the Bodleian Library turned out quite well. It was quiet, few tourists and I bought some shirts in the sale.

JOHN: Interesting angle nicely observed
DAVID: It was far more interesting than the standard pose JM
PETER: Reminds me a bit of Jenny Saville. Like Lucian Freud they tear through idealised notions of beauty and artifice to strip back to something human and authentic.
KATHY: Excellent David !! You’ve really got his ‘ meatiness’ (if that’s a word?? ) it was a great pose but he couldn’t hold it long unfortunately. I was obsessing about pressing the right buttons – so didn’t get to do the first 2 quick sketches !
Bodlian library drawing reminds me of living in Oxford when my brother was at Corpus ChristiCollrge Unfortunately I was not clever enough to join him and got a job as a waitress in the town and gown restaurant Soon I was sacked for splashing a customer with a drink! Happy days!
